British Sign Language (BSL) Teacher - 12-Week Course (Wednesdays)

Duration: 12 weeks

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: £35 p/h

Start Date: ASAP

Eden Brown are currently seeking a passionate and qualified British Sign Language (BSL) teacher to deliver a 12-week BSL level 1 course at a further education college in Greater Manchester. The course will take place every Wednesday evening.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, interactive, and inclusive BSL lessons to students
  • Tailor lessons to meet the needs of a range of learners, from beginners to advanced levels
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with college staff to maintain course structure and standards

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified BSL teacher (minimum Level 3)
  • Experience in teaching BSL in a formal setting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage students
  • Passion for promoting deaf awareness and inclusion
  • Previous experience teaching in further education settings
  • Ability to use additional teaching aids or resources
  • A DBS is also required for this role.
