Eden Brown are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Biology Lecturer to join our vibrant academic team for a full-time, temporary position.
This is to teach Biology to Access students and will cover sickness for at least 5 weeks, possibly longer. 36 hours per week paid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality lessons in Biology at Level 3 (Access to Biology)
- Developing engaging and informative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent delivery of the curriculum
- Supporting students in achieving their academic goals and progressing onto higher education
Requirements:
- A relevant degree in Biology (or equivalent qualification)
- Teaching experience, particularly at Level 3 or Access level (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to student success
- A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory
An enhanced DBS check is also needed for this role.
