Eden Brown are currently seeking a Temporary Welding Lecturer to join a leading FE College on a part-time basis in Widnes. This is a part-time temporary role where the successful candidate will teach on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons on MIG and TIG welding (Level 3) to students of varying skill levels.
  • Provide practical demonstrations and hands-on guidance in the workshop.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment at all times.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of welding techniques and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a welder (professional qualifications in MIG and TIG welding).
  • Previous teaching experience, ideally in a vocational setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for developing others.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
  • Must be available to work Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • A DBS is also needed for this role.
