We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join the Children in Care Service in Enfield on an initial 4-month contract. This is a key leadership role within Children's Social Care, managing a team responsible for children subject to:
- Child in Need Plans
- Child Protection Plans
- Care Proceedings
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performing social work team within the Children in Care service
- Provide effective supervision, oversight, and case direction
- Ensure high-quality practice and compliance with statutory responsibilities
- Support staff development and promote positive outcomes for children and families
- Oversee complex safeguarding and court work
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within Child Protection and Children in Need services
- Proven experience managing Children in Care cases and care proceedings
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Team Manager within Children's Services
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and performance management skills
