An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Temporary General Engineering Lecturer at a well-established further education college in Widnes.
Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to deliver high-quality teaching across a range of engineering qualifications, including Level 3, HNC, and Apprenticeship programs. The role requires a dynamic lecturer who is passionate about engineering and able to inspire students while delivering engaging lessons. You will be responsible for teaching both practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum, preparing students for successful careers in the engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering engaging and effective lessons for Level 3, HNC, and Apprenticeship programmes.
- Ensuring all learning materials are up-to-date and relevant to the needs of the curriculum.
- Assessing and providing feedback on student work.
- Supporting students with their academic and vocational development.
- Attending departmental meetings and contributing to course development.
- A strong background in General Engineering with relevant qualifications (Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Experience of teaching Level 3 and HNC engineering courses, as well as working with apprenticeships.
- Knowledge of the current engineering industry and its practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for teaching and inspiring students.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE) or a commitment to obtain one.
- Experience with virtual learning environments (VLEs) and digital teaching tools.
- A current DBS is also needed for this role.
