Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing and supervising a team of Social Workers, Senior Social Workers, and support staff.
- Overseeing the delivery of statutory assessments within a frontline Assessment Team.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding thresholds, legislation, and timescales.
- Providing leadership and oversight on complex cases, including Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
- Driving performance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Supporting staff development through supervision, guidance, and performance management.
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure effective safeguarding outcomes.
- Ensuring accurate and timely case recording and reporting.
Working Pattern: Full-time Hybrid working
Pay Rate: £44.50 p/h Umbrella
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- Significant experience within children's social care, including management experience
- Experience within Assessment/Frontline services
- Social Work England Registration
- Strong leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation
