Haringey Council is currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to work with adults who have complex care and therapy needs, helping to deliver high-quality assessments, interventions, and positive outcomes for service users, carers, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessments for adults with complex care and therapy needs across Adult Social Care services.
- Provide robust decision-making and risk management to support effective care planning.
- Identify and implement appropriate care pathways for individuals with complex needs.
- Deliver person-centred interventions that promote independence and improve outcomes.
- Act as a recognised specialist within the Occupational Therapy field.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of practice, policy, and service improvement.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Sensory Impairment Practitioners, and Equipment Managers.
- Support the Team Manager and deputise when required.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Previous experience working within Adult Social Care.
- Experience completing complex assessments and managing risk effectively.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practice.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
