Fostering Social Worker - Havering - £39.04 per hour umbrella

We are currently seeking an experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a team in Havering, supporting the assessment and approval of prospective kinship carers.

This role is to carry out kinship viability assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake kinship viability assessments in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Complete thorough assessments of prospective kinship carers, identifying strengths, risks and support needs.

Prepare clear, analytical assessment reports and recommendations.

Work collaboratively with children, families, social workers and other professionals.

Ensure the child's welfare and best interests remain central throughout the assessment process.

Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation.

Requirements

Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.

Relevant experience within fostering, kinship care, connected persons or children's social care.

Strong assessment and analytical skills.

3 years post qualification experience in a permanent social worker role

Experience undertaking viability assessments is highly desirable.

Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
