Role: Engineering Maths / Science & Mechanical Principles Lecturer (Temporary – Part time) at a Further Education College in West Yorkshire. Contract starts as soon as possible until Easter (initial period).

Location: West Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching to FE engineering learners across core units.
  • Plan schemes of work and lesson materials in line with awarding body specifications.
  • Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on learner work.
  • Support learners with both theoretical understanding and practical application.
  • Maintain accurate student records and contribute to curriculum delivery.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience teaching Engineering Maths, Science, or Mechanical Principles in FE or a similar setting.
  • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong subject knowledge in maths, science, and mechanical principles.
  • Ability to engage and motivate a diverse range of learners.
  • Current DBS check.
