We are looking for a passionate and skilled Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire. This exciting opportunity invites an experienced tradesperson or qualified lecturer to inspire the next generation of construction professionals.
You will deliver engaging, practical and theory‑based lessons to learners across a range of carpentry and joinery qualifications, helping them develop the technical skills and industry knowledge needed to succeed in the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality teaching across Carpentry & Joinery courses (Level 1‑3 or equivalent).
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet awarding body requirements.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support progress.
- Maintain a safe and well‑organised workshop environment.
- Support students with both practical skills and employability development.
- Monitor learner progress and contribute to course development and improvement.
- Industry experience in Carpentry & Joinery.
- A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Carpentry, Joinery, or a related trade.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to work toward one.
- Experience delivering training or mentoring apprentices/learners is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
- Current DBS check.
