A well-established Further Education College in the Liverpool City Region is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer / Course Leader to join its Construction and Engineering department on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to lead and inspire the next generation of electricians, delivering high-quality teaching across Level 1-3 Electrical Installation programmes while contributing to curriculum development and departmental leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and industry-relevant teaching in Electrical Installation (Level 1-3)
  • Act as Course Leader, overseeing delivery and assessment
  • Support apprenticeships and full-time learners in achieving their qualifications
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance processes
  • Work closely with employers and industry partners to enhance learner progression
  • Provide pastoral and academic support to learners

About You

  • Strong background in Electrical Installation with relevant industry experience
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Assessor and/or IQA qualifications desirable
  • Experience delivering within Further Education or apprenticeship settings
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current electrical regulations and practices
  • Ability to lead a course area and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
