Temporary Learning Support Assistant - Personal Care

Contract: Temporary, Part Time

Eden Brown are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a leading sixth form in Manchester on a temporary basis, working 4 days per week.
This is a rewarding role supporting a young person with their learning, wellbeing and day-to-day needs. The successful candidate will provide a combination of educational support and personal care, helping the student to participate fully in sixth-form life and develop their independence and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to a student throughout the school day.
- Support the student to access lessons, activities and the wider sixth-form environment.
- Provide appropriate personal care and assistance with day-to-day needs, maintaining the students dignity, privacy and independence at all times.
- Support with mobility, positioning and personal care routines where required.
- Encourage the students independence and involvement in their own care and learning.
- Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral colleagues, families and relevant professionals.
We are looking for someone who is:

- Able to build a trusting and positive relationship with young people.
- Reliable, calm and able to respond appropriately to changing situations.
- A strong communicator
A DBS is also needed for this role.
