Inpatient RMN - PICU

Role Overview:
The successful applicant will work on the female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) ward, delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred mental health care. Youll be a named nurse for patients, coordinate clinical care, lead on care planning, and support junior staff within a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver prescribed, person-centred nursing care to patients with complex needs

Undertake assessments, plan and evaluate care collaboratively

Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Take shift lead as required and supervise junior and agency staff

Escalate risk, incidents, or concerns appropriately

Engage in quality improvement, clinical supervision, and reflective practice

Work within the frameworks of the Mental Health Act, MCA, DoLS, and safeguarding protocols

Requirements:
NMC-registered Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

Strong understanding of psychiatric care, safeguarding, and clinical governance

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Evidence of post-registration CPD

Comfortable using electronic health record systems (IT literate)
