In this vital role, you will lead assessments and interventions, ensuring the safety and well-being of children at risk. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing guidance and support to less experienced staff while driving best practices in child protection.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of protection.
- Leading case conferences and ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration.
- Providing expert advice and supervision to junior staff and social work students.
- Developing and implementing care plans in accordance with legislation and local policies.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognised social work qualification (e.g., BA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in child protection.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
