Childcare Social Worker - Fostering Service (Level 3) | Leicester City Council Rate: £36 - £38 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: Full-time, Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, Friday 8:30am-4:30pm Location: Leicester City Council - Office base available with hybrid/working from home options Leicester City Council are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Childcare Social Worker to join their Fostering Service, offering supervision and support to approved foster carers. Key Responsibilities: Provide professional supervision, advice, and support to approved foster carers. Monitor placements to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and stability of children and young people. Maintain compliance with Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards. Work closely with foster carers, children, and professionals to promote positive outcomes. Prepare and present reports and updates for Panel meetings and reviews. Share knowledge and promote best practice in trauma-informed and therapeutic parenting approaches, including Secure Base and PACE models.Requirements: Proven experience in fostering, supervision, and carer support. Knowledge of Fostering Regulations, National Minimum Standards, and legal proceedings.
