Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Family Court Adviser (FCA) to join Cafcass within the Work Towards First Hearing (WTFH), Public and Private Law teams.

Rate: £37.75 p/h Umbrella

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake early safeguarding enquiries and provide child protection advice to the Court.
  • Visit children and families and complete high-quality assessments within court timescales.
  • Prepare analytical reports to inform the Court on the needs and best interests of the child.
  • Provide clear recommendations in both Public and Private Law proceedings.
  • Liaise effectively with local authorities and partner agencies to ensure safeguarding information is robust and timely.
  • Manage a caseload in line with court-directed deadlines and national standards.

Office Locations:

  • Bristol
  • Reading
  • Oxford
  • Swindon

Working Pattern:

  • Monthly office attendance
  • Weekly virtual meetings
  • Induction period - mixture of remote and office based

Contract:

  • Assignment until 30th June 2026

Important Information:

  • Court experience is essential
  • All candidates must complete a written exercise prior to interview
  • Written exercise must be completed and returned within 72 hours of submission
  • Interviews will take place via Teams with two Service Managers

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Strong experience within Public and/or Private Law
  • Proven court report writing and analytical skills
