Job Description
CAFCASS are seeking a motivated and skilled FCA to join their Work After First Hearing (WAFH) Team. This role requires a dedicated professional to provide high-quality support and services in the community, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and efficiency. The WAFH team specifically handles cases that continue beyond the initial court hearing, focusing on ongoing assessments and interventions to ensure the child's best interests are prioritised throughout the legal process Duties in this role. Deliver high-quality early safeguarding and child protection advice, assessments, and analysis to the Court, focusing on the needs and best interests of children involved in Family Proceedings. Prioritize the well-being and safety of the child throughout Cafcass involvement in the case. Address incidents or risks of significant harm to the child following Local Safeguarding Childrens Board (LSCB) procedures and Cafcass policies. Provide advanced social work-level services by assessing and analyzing court applications related to child protection and serious welfare issues. Influence those with parental responsibility to prioritise the child's well-being and offer advice to the courts and Local Authorities on safeguarding concerns, contributing to judicial case management.
