Social Worker required for work within the Corporate Parenting/LAC Team in the Devon area based in Exeter & East. This is a 3-month long contract, 37 hours a week, with competitive rates of pay up to £38 per hour.

The team has a strong management structure and offers flexible working. The Corporate Parenting (CP) service works with children in care and care experienced young people. The service is supported by learning advocates from the Virtual School, careers advisors, entry to education workers, a housing pathway coordinator, and homelessness prevention workers, as well as by our partners in health and other key agencies. CP is a developing service with many exciting plans that will support our children and young people to achieve the best outcomes possible.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing comprehensive assessments
  • Preparing Care/Pathway Plans
  • Court work (desirable but not essential)
  • Undertaking statutory CiC reviews and visits
  • Attending multi-agency meetings
  • Managing adolescent contextual risk
  • Supervising, supporting, and mentoring young people who are moving into independent living

It is essential that candidates have good communication and strong report writing skills. You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to your own car, and able to reside and work in the UK.
