Social Worker required for work within the Supervising Fostering team in North Somerset. Located between the vibrant cities of Bristol and the stunning Somerset countryside, North Somerset offers the perfect balance between work and lifestyle. With excellent transport links and beautiful surroundings, it is a fantastic place to live and work.

Competitive rates of pay with a basic rate of up to £38ph with much higher rates for unsocial hours. 37 hours per week. 3 month minimum contract with options to extend. Hybrid Working.

The post holder will be responsible for assessing Foster Carers, Special Guardianship Carers and Private Fostering. The role also includes offering support and supervision to our Kinship Foster Carers. They will provide support and advice for Special Guardianship Carers including accessing the adoption support fund.

Our methodology is strengths based; we treat families and each other with respect and kindness whilst at all times remaining focused on the experience and needs of children and young people. The successful candidate will thrive on creative thinking and problem solving and enjoy working autonomously.

You will possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to identify risk and prioritise accordingly whilst remaining calm and know when to escalate concerns to your team leader. You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to a vehicle.
