This is a part time temporary role, 4 full days per week, Monday - Thursday to start asap until June.
The Role: You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English GCSE lessons to post-16 learners, supporting them to achieve their full academic potential. The successful candidate will be confident in planning, delivering and assessing GCSE English lessons in line with current awarding body requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective GCSE English lessons
- Prepare schemes of work and lesson plans aligned to the curriculum
- Assess, track and monitor learner progress
- Provide constructive feedback and support to learners
- Prepare students for exams in line with Edexcel 2.0 specifications
- Maintain accurate records in line with internal and external quality standards
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering GCSE English
- Strong knowledge of Edexcel 2.0 specification
- Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed / DET or equivalent)
- Degree in English or a related subject
- Strong classroom management skills
Desirable:
- Experience teaching within Further Education
- Experience supporting resit learners
Candidate must have a current DBS.
