Eden Brown are looking for an Engineering Technician to support in a Further Education College in Greater Manchester.

Role Overview:

As an Engineering Technician, you will work closely with lecturers and students to set up, maintain, and support practical engineering sessions across a range of disciplines. You will ensure equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use, providing technical expertise and guidance where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain engineering workshop and laboratory equipment.
  • Support practical sessions, demonstrating safe use of tools and machinery.
  • Assist staff and students with technical problems and project setups.
  • Maintain health and safety standards in all practical areas.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of equipment and materials.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant technical qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in an engineering workshop environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience in an educational or training setting is desirable.

A DBS will also be needed for this role. If you do not have a DBS Eden Brown can apply for one on your behalf.
