Eden Brown are looking for an Engineering Technician to support in a Further Education College in Greater Manchester.
Role Overview:
As an Engineering Technician, you will work closely with lecturers and students to set up, maintain, and support practical engineering sessions across a range of disciplines. You will ensure equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use, providing technical expertise and guidance where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain engineering workshop and laboratory equipment.
- Support practical sessions, demonstrating safe use of tools and machinery.
- Assist staff and students with technical problems and project setups.
- Maintain health and safety standards in all practical areas.
- Monitor and manage inventory of equipment and materials.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Relevant technical qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in an engineering workshop environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in an educational or training setting is desirable.
