Eden Brown are seeking an experienced Engineering Maths / Science & Mechanical Principles Lecturer for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire. This is a temporary role to start asap until Easter initially. The days are Monday and Wednesday 8:30am - 4:30pm. This role is ideal for an experienced lecturer or an industry professional with strong engineering fundamentals who is keen to support and inspire learners on engineering programmes within an FE setting.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective teaching across core engineering units, which may include:
  • Engineering Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Mechanical Principles
  • Applied Maths and Physics for Engineering
  • You will plan and deliver lessons in line with awarding body specifications, assess learner work, and provide academic and pastoral support to help students succeed.
  • Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver high-quality teaching to FE engineering learners
    • Plan schemes of work and lesson materials
    • Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback
    • Support learners with both theoretical understanding and practical application
    • Maintain accurate student records and contribute to curriculum delivery

    The Ideal Candidate

    • Experience teaching Engineering Maths, Science, or Mechanical Principles in FE or a similar setting
    • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
    • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one
    • Strong subject knowledge in maths, science, and mechanical principles
    • Ability to engage and motivate a diverse range of learners

    Candidates must also have a current DBS.
