Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Mental Health Team for Enfield Council.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised assessments, care management, and statutory social work services in accordance with Adult Social Care legislation, Council policies, and professional standards. * Work as an embedded Adult Mental Health Social Worker within the Family Help Partnership Hub, supporting families where parental mental ill-health is impacting parenting capacity and child wellbeing. * Undertake specialist adult mental health assessments, risk assessments, care planning, and brief psychologically informed interventions. * Provide specialist consultation and guidance to Family Help practitioners and Childrens Social Care colleagues on adult mental health matters. * Contribute to Family Help, Child in Need, and Child Protection planning through joint working, direct interventions, and professional risk formulation. * Work collaboratively with the North London NHS Foundation Trust Community Mental Health Team and other statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver coordinated, person-centred care. * Facilitate timely referrals and warm handovers into appropriate adult mental health services, ensuring continuity of care and effective multi-agency working. * Maintain accurate case recordings, prepare high-quality assessments and reports, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and local authority policies.

  • £32 p/h Umbrella.

Essential Requirements

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent.
  • Social Work England Registration.
  • Experience within Adult Mental Health Social Work.
  • Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and relevant safeguarding legislation.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with NHS partners.
  • Ability to complete complex mental health assessments, care planning, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication, partnership working, and report writing skills.
