An experienced and dynamic Registered Manager is required to support a Local Authority Reablement Service on a locum basis. The post holder will work alongside an existing Registered Manager, providing operational leadership, governance oversight and strategic support to ensure high-quality reablement provision across the service.
The role is hybrid, based primarily in Ellesmere Port, with flexibility for remote working two days per week. The successful candidate will play a key role in stabilising service delivery, improving workforce performance, supporting discharge pathways and driving quality improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership for the reablement service in partnership with the existing Registered Manager
- Lead, manage and support staff teams, ensuring effective supervision and performance management
- Oversee service delivery to ensure timely, safe and effective reablement interventions
- Facilitate discharge pathways and work closely with health and social care partners
- Manage rostering, workforce planning and capacity across the service
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks
- Support incident management, risk management and service improvement activity
- Act as a visible and supportive leader within the service
Essential criteria:
- Experience working at Registered Manager or Service Manager level
- Strong background in reablement, intermediate care or community services
- Experience working within CQC-regulated environments
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Strong operational and organisational ability
- Experience supporting integrated discharge pathways
Desirable:
- Local Authority experience
- Experience leading services through improvement or change programmes
