North East Lincolnshire Council is currently seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Emergency Duty Team (EDT). As a Social Worker within the Emergency Duty Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children outside of normal working hours. You will be responsible for providing a swift and robust response to safeguarding concerns, ensuring that children at risk receive immediate support during evenings and weekends.
This role sits within the Integrated Front Door (IFD), meaning you will work closely with the daytime teams and partner agencies such as Police and Health services to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and families. You will be joining a passionate and supportive team that places children at the centre of every decision and values strong partnership working. The successful candidate will need to be solution-focused, resourceful, and confident in building relationships across agencies.
Important: While on shift, the successful worker must remain based in the local area.
Shift Pattern: The Emergency Duty Team operates on a 3-week rolling rota, covering evenings and weekends, with one full weekend off every 3 weeks.
- Monday - Thursday: 5:00pm - 8:30am
- Friday: 4:30pm - 8:30am
- Saturday & Sunday (Evenings): 5:00pm - 8:30am
- Saturday & Sunday (Daytime): 8:30am - 5:00pm

Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
