We are currently seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a busy Children in Care Team based in North Somerset. 37 hours a week and 3 days to be in the office, 6 month+ contracts and an exceptional rate of between £38-40ph for experienced workers.

Good transport links off the M5.

North Somerset Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a busy Children in Care Team.

This is a fast‑paced role working with children and young people in care, ensuring their safety, stability, and long‑term outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children in care (LAC).
  • Undertake statutory visits, care planning, and reviews.
  • Work closely with foster carers, residential settings, and partner agencies.
  • Contribute to pathway planning and permanence planning.
  • Prepare reports for court and statutory meetings where required.
  • Promote the welfare, safety, and best interests of children and young people.

You will be SWE registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK.
