Job Overview
Social Worker required to join the Children's Response (Assessment) Team in the South Gloucestershire area based near the vibrant city of Bristol.
Competitive rates up to £41 per hour for a 37 hour a week contract, initially 3–6 months and then reviewed.
The role is hybrid; you must be able to regularly come to the office and visit children and families.
No accommodation or mileage costs are paid for travel to and from work.
- Key Duties
- Initial assessments and Section 47 Child Protection investigations.
- Care planning, report writing and case management of vulnerable children and families.
- Hold all open cases of ongoing family support and children subject to a child protection plan until discharge or transfer of care.
- Manage a diverse and complex caseload within deadlines.
- Maintain constant contact with all teams across Children & Families Services and external agencies to address children and families’ needs for best outcomes.
- Work the duty rota – one week on site and two weeks hybrid – managing diary and visits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working within the Assessment setting in Social Care.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Child Protection practice and Section 47.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Access to own car and a valid driver licence; able to reside and work in the UK.
