Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Biomedical Scientist in the field of Microbiology to join the team at Nobles Hospital. This is a temporary position offering the opportunity to contribute to the high standards of healthcare services on the Isle of Man.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic testing in microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, and parasitology.
- Process specimens and analyse results in a laboratory setting.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring high levels of safety and quality control.
- Participate in the identification of microbial pathogens and provide relevant reports.
- Ensure all laboratory practices comply with safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of test results.

Special Requirements:
- HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist.
- IBMS Specialist Diploma in Medical Microbiology.
- Recent UK experience in microbiology or a related field.
