Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the North Dorset Community Learning Disability Team in Sturminster Newton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Adult Social Care Social Worker with a background in Learning Disabilities, complex case management and statutory social work duties. You will play a key role in supporting adults with learning disabilities, promoting independence, safeguarding individuals and ensuring positive outcomes through effective multi-agency working. Location: Sturminster Newton, North Dorset Pay Rate: £32-£35 per hour (Umbrella) Contract: Temporary / Locum Working Pattern: Hybrid - minimum 2 days office-based per week Key Responsibilities Manage a complex caseload within the Adult Learning Disability Service. Complete Care Act assessments, reviews and Care and Support Plans. Support and contribute to Mental Health Tribunals. Prepare and progress Court of Protection applications. Provide informal supervision, support and guidance to colleagues. Undertake safeguarding assessments and risk management responsibilities. Work collaboratively with health professionals, families, carers and partner agencies. Participate in MDT meetings and multi-agency working. Undertake community visits across North Dorset. Maintain accurate case records and statutory documentation. Essential Requirements Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification. Current registration with Social Work England. Previous experience within Adult Social Care. Experience managing complex social work caseloads. Strong knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2014. Experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working. Excellent assessment, communication and report-writing skills. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable Experience Previous experience working within a Learning Disability Team. Experience with Court of Protection applications. Experience supporting Mental Health Tribunals. Experience supporting adults with complex needs. Working Arrangements Based in Sturminster Newton, North Dorset. Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days office-based per week.
