Eden Brown seeks an experienced Counselling Lecturer for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire. This part-time temporary role runs from 16th April until the end of June, with hours 4 pm–9 pm every Thursday evening.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Level 4 Counselling programmes
  • Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials in line with curriculum requirements
  • Assess student work and provide constructive, timely feedback
  • Support learners in achieving their academic and personal development goals
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Relevant counselling qualification (minimum Level 4 higher preferred)
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
  • Previous experience delivering counselling courses in an FE or HE setting
  • Strong understanding of counselling theory and practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current DBS check
