Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker - Children's Safeguarding to join Northamptonshire Children's Trust in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed social worker to join a safeguarding-focused team and make a positive difference to children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risk, need and vulnerability.
  • Develop, implement and review effective intervention and safeguarding plans to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Manage and reduce risk to children through timely safeguarding actions and effective care planning.
  • Provide support, guidance and advocacy to children and families, ensuring the child's voice remains central to decision-making.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals, including health, education, police and other safeguarding services.
  • Monitor children's welfare and progress, ensuring statutory duties and safeguarding responsibilities are met.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and high-quality case recordings, assessments and reports.
  • Participate in strategy discussions, child protection conferences, core groups and court proceedings where required.
  • Promote the safety, wellbeing and long-term stability of children and young people.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and safeguarding procedures.

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Pay Rate: £38.00 per hour

Hours: 29.5 hours per week, 4 days

Office Requirement: Minimum 3 days per week in the office

Contract: Temporary / Agency

Essential Requirements

  • Social Work England (SWE) registration.
  • Relevant experience within children's social care and safeguarding.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Experience undertaking assessments, care planning and managing risk.
  • Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced safeguarding environment.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
