Integrated Fostering Services (IFS) is a dedicated independent fostering agency committed to providing high-quality, child-centred fostering placements for children and young people from birth to 18 years. We work closely with Local Authorities to ensure children are safeguarded, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead and develop our fostering service. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the strategic direction, operational management, and regulatory compliance of the agency, ensuring the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted, the Fostering Regulations 2011, and the National Minimum Standards. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong management skills, sound judgement, and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership to implement the vision, values, and strategy of the agency
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the fostering service, ensuring financial viability
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted requirements, Fostering Regulations, and National Minimum Standards
  • Act as the Safeguarding Lead, promoting the welfare and protection of children, carers, and staff
  • Oversee recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and development of staff
  • Support the recruitment, assessment, supervision, and retention of foster carers
  • Liaise effectively with Local Authorities and external professionals
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records for staff, foster carers, and children
  • Manage complaints, allegations, investigations, and disciplinary processes
  • Lead on audits, monitoring, and quality assurance
  • Ensure timely completion of statutory and regulatory reports
  • Promote equality, diversity, and non‑discriminatory practice across the service
About You
  • Have proven management and leadership experience within a fostering or children's social care setting
  • Hold, or be willing to work towards, an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of fostering legislation, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding practice
  • Have excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality services that place children's welfare at the centre of practice
