Complex Safeguarding Social Worker - Tameside Council 📍 Location: Primarily Office Based, Tameside Join an innovative, fast-paced, and trauma-informed Complex Safeguarding Team at Tameside Council - dedicated to protecting and supporting young people at risk of exploitation, human trafficking, or missing episodes. This is a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable adolescents through direct intervention, multi-agency collaboration, and prevention work. About the Role As a Complex Safeguarding Social Worker, you will: Undertake comprehensive assessments of young people at risk of sexual or criminal exploitation, trafficking, or missing episodes. Use a trauma-informed approach to build trust and understand complex needs. Provide immediate support and crisis intervention to ensure safety and stability. Develop and deliver bespoke intervention plans that reduce harm and improve long-term outcomes. Work closely with GMP, Health, Education, and partner agencies to deliver coordinated safeguarding responses. Lead and contribute to strategy meetings, case conferences, and multi-agency planning. Maintain accurate and timely case recording in accordance with statutory and organisational requirements.About You To be successful, you will have: Social Work England registration and a recognised Social Work qualification. Proven experience within safeguarding, exploitation, or child protection teams. Strong assessment, risk management, and relationship-building skills.
