Location: Greater Manchester

Pay: £35 - £45 per hour

Contract: Temporary Full time (36 hours pw paid)

Eden Brown are working on behalf of a leading Further Education College in Greater Manchester who are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Carpentry and Joinery Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis from the start of the new academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Further Education or industry professional with teaching experience who is passionate about developing learners' practical skills and industry knowledge, enabling them to achieve success in Carpentry and Joinery qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective Carpentry and Joinery lessons to FE learners.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Teach a range of practical and theoretical topics within Carpentry and Joinery.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Support students to achieve their academic goals and develop industry-standard skills.
  • Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) or relevant teaching experience.
  • Relevant Carpentry and Joinery qualification (Level 3 or above preferred) or significant industry experience.
  • Strong practical skills, classroom management and communication skills.

An enhanced DBS is required for this role, although Eden Brown can apply for one on your behalf if needed.
