Eden Brown is seeking an enthusiastic Sport Lecturer for a Further Education College in Lancashire. This partâtime (15.5 hours) temporary role starts 21 January and runs until the end of March.
Hours are:
- Monday â 9:00 am â 4:00 pm
- Tuesday â 9:00 am â 2:30 pm
- Thursday â 9:00 am â 10:30 am & 2:00 pm â 5:00 pm
Modules will include:
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Sports Massage
- Sport & Exercise Science
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a passion for sport education to support learners on vocational sport programmes within a dynamic FE environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across BTEC Sport programmes
- Support learners to achieve their academic and practical potential
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment materials in line with awardingâbody requirements
- Track and report on learner progress, providing constructive feedback
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Essential Requirements
- Experience of planning, delivering, and assessing BTEC Sport qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge within sport and physical education
- Experience teaching within a further education or similar setting
- Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- A learnerâfocused approach with strong communication skills
- Current DBS check
Desirable
- Specialism in Anatomy and Physiology
- Experience supporting or teaching learners involved in elite or academyâlevel football pathways, such as sports scholars or performance programmes
