Eden Brown are seeking an experienced Psychology Lecturer for a Further Education College in Lancashire. This is a full-time temporary role starting in February, teaching first year A-Level Psychology, for ongoing cover. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced A-Level Psychology teacher or lecturer to inspire and support learners studying Psychology at post‐16 level.
The Role
- Deliver high‐quality teaching across A-Level Psychology, supporting learners to develop a strong understanding of key psychological theories, research methods and core content required for exam success and progression.
- Play a key role in curriculum delivery, assessment and learner achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for first year A-Level Psychology.
- Support and motivate learners to achieve their full potential.
- Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Prepare learners for assessments and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records in line with college and awarding body requirements.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A relevant qualification in Psychology (degree level or above).
- Proven experience teaching A-Level Psychology.
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the A-Level Psychology curriculum.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A learner‐focused, inclusive approach to teaching.
Candidates must have an enhanced DBS on the update service.
