Eden Brown Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Criminology Lecturer to join a Further Education College in Lancashire. This is a full-time temporary position starting asap for 3 months cover initially.
The Role
As a Criminology Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective teaching in Criminology. You will support learners in developing a strong understanding of key criminological theories, research methods, and core content required for assessment success and progression. You will play a key role in curriculum delivery, learner assessment, and achievement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in Criminology
- Support and motivate learners to achieve their academic potential
- Track learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Prepare learners for internal assessments and external examinations
- Maintain accurate records in line with college and awarding body requirements
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A relevant qualification in Criminology or a related subject (degree level or above)
- Proven experience teaching Criminology within Further Education
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Strong subject knowledge of the Criminology curriculum
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- A learner-centred, inclusive approach to teaching
