Daily Rate: 200 - 245

Eden Brown Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Chemistry Lecturer to join a Further Education College in Lancashire. This is a full-time temporary role to start asap likely until Easter, providing ongoing cover across Chemistry provision within the college. The successful candidate will deliver engaging teaching to post-16 learners across a range of levels, supporting achievement and progression.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Chemistry lessons across FE programmes
  • Support and motivate learners to achieve their full potential
  • Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Prepare learners for assessments, practical activities, and examinations
  • Maintain accurate learner records in line with college and awarding body requirements
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met in laboratory environments
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification in Chemistry or a related science discipline (degree level or above)
  • Experience teaching Chemistry within a Further Education or post-16 setting
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Strong subject knowledge across FE Chemistry curricula
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
  • A learner-centred, inclusive approach to teaching
