Location: Lancashire

Type: Temporary - Part time

Rate: £16 - £18 per hour

Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic Attendance & Engagement Mentor for a Further Education College in Lancashire. The role is to start 19th January and be in place until around 27th February 2026. This is a part time role, the days would be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 8:40am - 4:30pm.

The role requires strong organisational abilities and a proven capacity to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with young people and their next of kin. A key aspect of the post is monitoring and recording learner attendance and engagement, particularly for those enrolled on entry-level programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Making regular telephone contact with learners and, where necessary, parents or carers
  • Meeting with learners to explore challenges to engagement and agree appropriate actions for improvement
  • Implementing, reviewing, and overseeing attendance agreements
  • Organising and facilitating meetings with learners and their next of kin, including those identified as at risk
  • Assisting with additional support measures such as written communications home and, where appropriate, accompanied home visits to help re-engage learners and support successful programme completion

Candidates must have a DBS on the update service.
