Senior Practitioner is required for work within the Adults Safeguarding Team in the vibrant city of Bristol. Excellent rates of pay up to £41ph. 6 month minimum contract but likely extended. 37 hours per week. Exciting opportunity in a great city with good transport links to neighbouring authorities.. Flexible working. We are seeking an experienced Agency Senior Practitioner to join the Safeguarding Adults Team for a six-month period. This is a fast-paced operational role focused primarily on duty management. The successful candidate will provide daily oversight of safeguarding referrals, support decision making and ensure timely progression of work across the duty function. Essential experience: Significant experience within Adult Safeguarding. Strong knowledge of the Care Act and safeguarding duties. Experience making Section 42.1 safeguarding decisions. Experience managing a safeguarding duty desk or similar front-door function. Ability to make timely, proportionate decisions in a high-volume environment. Experience providing advice and guidance to practitioners on safeguarding concerns and risk. Strong recording, decision-making and risk assessment skills. The role will involve: Daily duty management within the Safeguarding Adults Team. Oversight of safeguarding referrals and threshold decisions. Supporting the allocation and progression of safeguarding work. Providing advice and guidance to practitioners and managers. Working closely with partner agencies to manage safeguarding concerns. Additional information: Six-month agency assignment. Hybrid working arrangement. Minimum two days per week office-based in Bristol City Centre. Interview process to include discussion of safeguarding decision making and practice scenarios.
