Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Missing Team as a Missing Co-ordinator for the London Borough of Ealing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and overseeing responses for children reported missing from home or care.
- Monitoring and tracking missing episodes, identifying patterns, risks, and emerging safeguarding concerns.
- Undertaking and coordinating Return Home Interviews to understand the reasons children go missing and reduce the likelihood of repeat episodes.
- Working closely with social workers, police, education, health, carers, and other partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable children.
- Identifying and responding to risks associated with child exploitation, contextual safeguarding, and extra-familial harm.
- Contributing to risk assessments, safety planning, and multi-agency safeguarding interventions.
- Maintaining accurate records, reports, and performance data in line with statutory requirements and local procedures.
- Providing advice, guidance, and support to professionals involved with children who go missing.
Pay Rate: £41.10 p/h Umb.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent.
- Social Work England Registration.
- Experience working within Children’s Social Care.
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and child protection procedures.
- Experience working with children who go missing from home or care and an understanding of exploitation risks.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
