Location: Suffolk (West, Ipswich & North Localities)

  • West: West Suffolk House, Bury St Edmunds
  • Ipswich: Endeavour House, Ipswich
  • North: Riverside, Lowestoft

Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella)

Contract: 6 months

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

We are looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist to support services across Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health within Adult Social Care in Suffolk. This is a locality-wide role focused on proactively undertaking reviews and assessments across the directorate, helping to reduce waiting lists and improve service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe and timely front-line Occupational Therapy services
  • Undertake assessments and reviews across the directorate
  • Support triage processes and reduce duplication between health and social care
  • Assist in reducing OT waiting lists
  • Support external care providers with safe moving and handling practices
  • Review care packages to ensure best value and effective use of equipment
  • Provide mutual aid across other OT service areas as required
  • Review double-handed care packages
  • Review waking night support
  • Review existing packages of care
Requirements:
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Experience within Adult Social Care
  • Background in Learning Disabilities, Autism, or Mental Health
  • Strong manual handling experience (essential)
  • Ability to work independently across multiple localities
