We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Practitioner AMHP / BIA (Adults) to join our dynamic team in Birmingham.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of adults requiring mental health support and ensuring their rights are upheld in accordance with the Mental Health Act.
You will work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver high-quality care and support, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Conducting assessments under the Mental Health Act, providing expert recommendations for treatment and care.
- Acting as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) and Best Interest Assessor (BIA), ensuring compliance with legal frameworks.
- Developing and reviewing care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
- Providing training and support to colleagues and stakeholders on mental health legislation and best practices.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with organizational policies and procedures.
- The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e. g., CQSW, Dip SW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- AMHP and BIA qualifications, with relevant experience in adult mental health.
