Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Children in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Birmingham.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families.
As a Senior QSW, you will lead assessments, provide expert guidance to junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services.

Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing intervention plans for children and families in need.
- Providing supervision and support to junior social workers, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority policies.
- Collaborating with external agencies, schools, and healthcare providers to coordinate services.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- A recognized social work qualification (e. g., CQSW, Dip SW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
