The predicted salary is between 37000 - 44000 £ per year.

As a Senior Practitioner within the Front Door (Duty) team, you will play a key role in managing incoming referrals, undertaking safeguarding enquiries, and ensuring timely and effective interventions for children and families.

  • Work within the S47 team, completing Section 47 enquiries and progressing cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) where appropriate.
  • Manage a varied caseload within a short-term intervention team.
  • Participate in a duty rota (1 week in every 3).
  • Undertake both office-based and community-based work, including home visits.
  • Utilise the Eclipse system to record and manage casework.

Working Arrangements

  • 37 hours per week.
  • 2 days office-based during duty week.
  • Flexible working outside of duty week.
  • Free parking available.
  • Travel required across the North West Central Birmingham area (Clean Air Zone applicable).

Essential Requirements

  • Social Work Qualification – Degree or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services.
  • Social Work England Registration.
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
