Join our dedicated Family Help/Children in Need Team in Birmingham as a Qualified Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable children and families.

In this rewarding position, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children in need.

Your expertise will contribute to developing tailored intervention plans, conducting assessments, and providing ongoing support to families facing challenges.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing intervention plans that promote the welfare and safety of children.
  • Collaborating with multi‑agency teams to coordinate services and support for families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e. g., Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children and family social work, particularly within a statutory setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families and professionals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload efficiently.

Additional requirements for this position include a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, as well as a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
