Barnet Council is seeking an experienced Referral & Assessment Team Manager to join our Children's Social Care service. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a stable, well-established team within a supportive and forward-thinking borough.

The Role

As Referral & Assessment Team Manager, you will:

  • Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of a busy R&A team
  • Oversee high-quality assessments, decision-making, and threshold management
  • Support and develop social workers through regular supervision and guidance
  • Ensure statutory timescales and quality standards are consistently met
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children

Working Arrangements

Hybrid role: 2 days per week in the office

Participation in duty rota every 6th week

Competitive rate of Β£43 per hour

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' permanent experience within children's social care
