Overview: We are currently supporting an NHS Trust in South London with an urgent requirement for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join their Children's Services as a Neurodiversity Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a forward-thinking service, supporting children and young people with neurodiverse needs, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on occupational therapy input for children with neurodiverse presentations
- Carry out comprehensive assessments, including functional, sensory, and cognitive assessments
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans
- Work closely with families, carers, schools, and wider MDT
- Support service development and contribute to pathway improvements
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance within the team
Requirements:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Minimum 2+ years' experience at Band 6/7 level
- Previous experience within paediatrics and/or neurodiversity (desirable)
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
- Experience working within MDT settings
- Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload
