Overview: We are currently supporting an NHS Trust in South London with an urgent requirement for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join their Children's Services as a Neurodiversity Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a forward-thinking service, supporting children and young people with neurodiverse needs, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on occupational therapy input for children with neurodiverse presentations
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments, including functional, sensory, and cognitive assessments
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention plans
  • Work closely with families, carers, schools, and wider MDT
  • Support service development and contribute to pathway improvements
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance within the team

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience at Band 6/7 level
  • Previous experience within paediatrics and/or neurodiversity (desirable)
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
  • Experience working within MDT settings
  • Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload
