Shifts: 24/7 Rota Coverage Available

Pay Rates:

  • Days: £14.50 PAYE
  • Sat / Night: £16.50 PAYE
  • Sunday / BH: £18.50 PAYE

Sleep-In Shifts Available

We are currently recruiting experienced Residential Support Workers to provide locum cover within a Children's Residential Home supporting young people with learning disabilities and additional needs. This service provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people, focusing on emotional well-being, independence, education, and life skills development.

Main Duties

  • Supporting children and young people with learning disabilities in a residential setting
  • Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
  • Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour
  • Encouraging participation in education, activities, and community engagement
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
  • Following care plans and safeguarding procedures at all times
  • Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and external professionals
  • Maintaining accurate daily records and incident reports where required

Requirements

  • Previous experience within children's residential services or supported living
  • Experience supporting young people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
  • Comfortable working within a 24/7 rota including days, nights, weekends, and possible sleep-ins
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
