Title: Anatomical Pathology Technologist (APT) Location: Northampton NHS Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Hours: Full-time or part-time considered Rate: Competitive hourly rates (Band 5-6 depending on experience & role) Reporting To: Mortuary and Bereavement Service Manager Role Summary: We are currently supporting recruitment for experienced Anatomical Pathology Technologists (APTs) and Mortuary Assistants to work within a hospital-based mortuary environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mortuary experience to join a supportive and professionally regulated team. Key Responsibilities: Anatomical Pathology Technologists (APT): Assist with post-mortem examinations under the supervision of a pathologist Prepare and reconstruct bodies for viewing Undertake specimen collection, preservation and documentation in line with HTA regulations Maintain cleanliness, stock control and infection control within the mortuary Liaise with hospital teams, bereaved families, and funeral directors Requirements: Previous experience in a hospital mortuary environment Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology (for APTs) Strong knowledge of Human Tissue Act 2004 (desirable) Respectful and professional approach with excellent attention to detail DBS clearance (Enhanced) required Eden Brown Synergy is an equal opportunities employer.
